Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate We do not recommend this place. The room was ageing and the bathroom was not cleaned well and design of it just did not make you comfortable while in it. Worst still the management did not seem to understand customer service. Here the customer doesn’t come first. Unfortunately for us English was only understood basically by some of the hotel staff. They had the usual man selling the trips who’s English was ok but we suspect possibly slightly deaf? We went out for the day, which was ok, he could not hear you while we sat in the back and broke down on the way back (looking under the bonnet there was a damaged water container to the radiator patched up but leaked out when we were stuck in traffic), he got some water from a place refilled so return to hotel. The next morning as we got out of the lift to go to breakfast we were greeted by the same man who decided to immediately try to sell us more trips, he then decided to be our waiter, forgot one of our breakfasts’ so had to ask again and then came back 15 min later with the wrong type. No apologies just further sales patter we had to walk to the lift and wait for the doors to shut as he was still going on about other trips. After that we skipped breakfast. |
Longwinded but works |

Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate Having never stayed in Chiang Mai before, I was totally unaware of the best location to stay. Ping Buri is a clean, quiet hotel with friendly staff. However, it is not walking distance from the night bizaar (the place where you will do most of your eating and shopping). You will need to get a tuk tuk/taxi to most places. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ping Buri Hotel. Don t miss the Sunday night walking street market in one of the nearby streets! Very busy. I recommend this hotel for couples and more mature travelers. It s in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle, although everywhere is easily accessible by taxi. The red shared taxi vans are usually very reasonable if you negotiate the price first. |
No problems with the booking service. A very efficient service. |

Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate This hotel is recommended as it s very near major tourist attractions in Chaing mai. The surrounding is great,it s not noisy at all and quite secured. The hotel also allow early check in, very flexible. |

Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate Very pleasant hotel just inside the moat within easy walk of shops ,restaurants. Large ,clean comfortable room overlooking the garden, so very pleasant |
No problem - we booked online for two separate nights, one day apart as we were going on a trip in between. When we returned from our trip the staff had put us back in the same room which was very nice |

Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate My second visit to this hotel. Renovation of lobby has perked it up. I like it as a low-key home away from home: nothing fancy, but neat, tidy, friendly. Not much English fluency in the staff but that s Chiang Mai, right? A pleasant neighbourhood, and just 300m walk to start of Sunday Walking Street. |
I made this reservation at the very last minute, literally on the morning of the afternoon I wanted to check in. When I arrived the fax marked URGENT was on the reception desk, so everything worked out great. |

Ping Buri, City Center, Suandok Gate Nice basic hotel, friendly staff, but it seems to be new, so the tuk tuk drivers often don t know where it is. Take a card with you when you go out. |
The booking service was fine, and I would use them again. |
